2010 Football World cup squads

Argentina beat Ivory Coast by two goals to one thanks to Hernan Crespo & Javier Saviola who scored Argentina's goals.

The match was highly entertaining as Argentina took the lead in the 24th minute when Crespo scored a goal.

Argentina doubled their score fourteen minutes later when Riquelme picked out Saviola with a great pass and the striker produced a beautiful finish to steer the ball past Jean-Jacques Tizie.

Didier Drogba, who plays at Chelsea with Crespo gave the Ivorians hope with a goal 8 minutes to go but Argentina played clever football slowing the game down when it mattered,

Argentina nearly scored a third goal minutes from time the pass was ruled offside and the goal did not stand. Argentina pick up three points and go to the top of the table.

The fellow group C teams Serbia & Montenegro & the Netherlands will play their first match tomorrow.
