Sweden at full strength for World cup qualifier

Sweden will bring a full-strength squad to Croatia for next month's 2006 World Cup qualifier that is likely to decide the winner of Group 8.

Sweden's three biggest stars, Juventus striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Arsenal midfielder Fredrik Ljunberg and FC Barcelona's Henrik Larsson were all named Tuesday on coach Lars Lagerback's roster. Former Southampton midfielder Anders Svensson, who sat out the last two qualifying matches with a knee injury and currently plays for Swedish side Elfsborg, was also selected.

Sweden leads the group with 21 points, one more than Croatia ahead of their Oct. 8 match in Zagreb, Croatia and it would secure aWorld cup berth with a win.

In the last round, Sweden takes on Iceland at home on Oct. 12, while Croatia travels to Hungary.

Croatia handed Sweden its only qualifying loss in its first match, winning 1-0 in Goteborg, Sweden last September.

Sweden Squad:

Goalkeepers: Andreas Isaksson (Rennes), Eddie Gustafsson (Ham-Kam).

Defenders: Christoffer Andersson (Lillestrom), Erik Edman (Rennes), Teddy Lucic (Hacken), Petter Hansson (Heerenveen), Olof Mellberg (Aston Villa), Alexander Ostlund (Feyenoord).

Midfielders: Mikael Nilsson (Panathinaikos), Niclas Alexandersson (IFK Goteborg), Daniel Andersson, (Malmo), Johan Elmander (Brondby), Kim Kallstrom (Rennes), Tobias Linderoth (FC Copenhagen), Fredrik Ljungberg (Arsenal), Anders Svensson (Elfsborg), Christian Wilhelmsson (Anderlecht).

Forwards: Marcus Allback (FC Copenhagen), Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Juventus), Mattias Jonson (Djurgarden), Henrik Larsson (Barcelona), Markus Rosenberg (Ajax).
