The conference, which will be used as a platform to assess the province's readiness for the world's biggest football showpiece, starts Wednesday.
The theme of the conference is: "Holding a successful FIFA World Cup and leaving a lasting South African legacy in the North West"
"The Conference will seek to produce a proper assessment of the collective work that has been done to ensure that the province is ready to deliver a successful World Cup," said Ndleleni Duma, MEC for Sports, Arts and Culture who is also Chairperson of the Provincial World Cup Committee.
Rustenburg will be one of the host cities of the 2010 FIFA World Cup soccer matches.
Royal Bafokeng Stadium has been selected as one of the stadia where the matches will be played.
MEC Duma said the North West government was working very hard to ensure that all stakeholders play their roles so that the province could be able to contribute towards the success of the World Cup.
"We are confident that we are on track with regard to preparations", he said.
Amongst stakeholders expected to attend the conference are key people from the Local Organising Committee, MEC's, senior government officials, football structures, business and stakeholders from civil society.
